President John Dramani Mahama held distinct bilateral engagements with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and Chinese Vice President Han Zheng.

The strategic meetings took place behind closed doors on Friday, September 25, on the margins of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York.

President Mahama’s deliberations with Mr. Guterres centred on bilateral and international issues of mutual concern.

He also held far-reaching discussions with Han Zheng on Ghana-China relations and strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The engagements formed part of President Mahama’s broader diplomatic interactions with world leaders and senior officials during the UN General Assembly.
