The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) has frozen a sprawling list of assets belonging to former National Food and Buffer Stock Company CEO, Hanan Abdul-Wahab, and his wife, Faiza Seidu Wuni, after uncovering evidence of massive theft and money laundering.

The Attorney General revealed that the seized assets include a five-bedroom mansion at Chain Homes, a three-bedroom house at Cantonments, a 17-room boutique hotel in Tamale, several houses in Accra and the Northern Region, and over 61 luxury handbags.

Investigators also traced GHS10 million in fixed deposits held by the former CEO at Republic Bank, alongside properties registered under seven shell companies used to conceal proceeds of the crime.

EOCO found that the couple used fraudulent supplier accounts to divert payments meant for the School Feeding Programme into their private businesses and luxury assets.

The Attorney General confirmed that all the assets have been frozen and steps are being taken to confiscate them to the state.
“These properties are fruits of a criminal enterprise that deprived Ghanaian schoolchildren of meals,” he said.

Charges against the accused persons will be filed by Friday, October 24, 2025.
