Dr Zanetor Condemns Fatal Stabbing at Kinbu SHS, Calls for Urgent School Safety Measures

Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Member of Parliament for the Klottey-Korle Constituency, has expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the tragic stabbing incident that claimed the life of a student at Kinbu Senior High School on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
In a press statement issued on Friday, August 1, the MP described the incident as “fatal and senseless,” adding that it is a wake-up call for all stakeholders in the education and security sectors to immediately reassess safety protocols within schools.
“I strongly condemn this act of violence and will collaborate with the Ghana Police Service and other relevant authorities to ensure that thorough investigations are swiftly conducted and that justice is served,” she stated.
Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings stressed that violence has no place in schools and emphasized the urgent need for students to feel safe in their learning environments. She pledged her commitment to work closely with the Ghana Education Service, school authorities, community leaders and security agencies to boost safety and mental health support across schools in the constituency.
“My thoughts are with the bereaved family, the students, faculty and the entire Kinbu SHS community during this period of grief,” she added.
The incident has sparked widespread concern among parents and educators, reigniting calls for stronger security and psychological support systems in Ghana’s educational institutions.
