Business magnate Richard Nii Armah Quaye has officially resigned as the Board Chairman of Bills Micro Credit, allowing for the appointment of Lawyer Kwadwo Kwarteng as his successor.

This marks the conclusion of his tenure with both Bills Micro Credit and Quick Angels. During a press conference in Accra, Mr. Quaye explained that his decision to step down was motivated by the urgent need for an economic and financial revolution to combat the rising unemployment crisis in Ghana.

He expressed his vision of promoting unity among the youth of current and future generations.

“Collaboration is essential for enhancing the national economy”, he emphasized.

He urged investors to focus on supporting local businesses and young entrepreneurs instead of seeking opportunities abroad.

In light of his departure, Lawyer Kwadwo Dei Kwarteng has been appointed as the new Board Chairman of Bills Micro Credit.

Having served in the legal field for the past 15 years, Lawyer Kwarteng accepted the role with enthusiasm and committed to leading in accordance with the company’s rules and regulations.

In his acceptance speech, he reiterated Bills Micro Credit’s commitment to empowering local businesses and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs, pledging to maintain high standards of compliance, governance, and customer service while reinforcing the company’s dedication to entrepreneurship and innovation.

Additionally, Emmanuel Lamptey was introduced as the new CEO of Quick Angels, with the responsibility of advancing the company’s investment and business support initiatives.

During the press conference, Lamptey remarked, ‘Our vision is evolving. We will reach new heights, explore untapped sectors, and enhance the ecosystem that drives economic transformation.’

The event also featured the launch of RNAQ Holdings, a new company where Richard Nii Armah Quaye will assume the role of President.
