Eid-ul-Fitr:President Mahama Urges Ghanaians to Support Vulnerable in Society

President John Dramani Mahama has issued a poignant appeal to Ghanaians, urging them to extend compassion and support to the most vulnerable members of society as the Muslim community celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr.
Speaking at the Eid-ul-Fitr celebration held at the Black Star Square in Accra, organized by the National Chief Imam, President Mahama underscored the imperative of fostering unity and empathy, particularly towards those struggling to make ends meet.
“As we commemorate the culmination of Ramadan, let us not overlook the vulnerable individuals within our communities,” President Mahama emphasized. “This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for introspection, benevolence, and solidarity. We must be our brothers’ and sisters’ keepers, extending a helping hand to those grappling with adversity.”
President Mahama reminded the gathering that Eid-ul-Fitr is a time for jubilation and gratitude, as well as an opportunity to demonstrate magnanimity and kindness.
He exhorted Muslims and all Ghanaians to remember those struggling with poverty, illness, and other hardships, encouraging them to share their blessings with those in need.
President Mahama called upon religious and community leaders to set a sterling example in cultivating a culture of care and social responsibility. “The quintessence of this celebration lies in our capacity to uplift one another,” he added. “Let us harness this occasion to fortify the bonds of brotherhood and ensure that no individual is left behind.”
