International Islamic Youth League Supports Vulnerable Muslims During Eid-Adha Celebration

International Islamic Youth League in collaboration with Coalition of Muslim Organizations, Ghana (COMOG), has supported some selected vulnerable Muslims and non Muslims within Zongo communities with meat as part of Eid-dul Adha celebration on Sunday in Accra.
The gesture formed part of the organization’s co mandate to support the vulnerable in the society during festive seasons.
About 50 cows were slotted and meat distributed to over 500 beneficiaries both Muslims and non Muslims from different communities.
Brefing the media shortly before the start of the distribution at Kawukudi in Accra, the Global Chief Executive Officer of International Islamic Youth League, Ambassador Prof. Dr. Hamid Ahmed Kanneh (PhD) reiterated their commitment in supporting the vulnerable in society.
According to him, some part of the country including the Northern Region have had their share of the free meet already.
He said the organization would be looking forward in extending its net to capture other areas in the coming years.
On his part, the representative of COMOG, Hajj Abdel-Manan commended the International Islamic Youth League for their social intervention.

He stated that the maiden free meat distribution came at the right time the economy of the country has worse the plight of some family and the free meat would put smile on the faces of those who couldn’t afford to slotter any animal.
He said the selection of COMOG as partner was due to its transperency and proven track records.
