NDC Youth Organizer Donates 20 Motorbikes, 16 Seater Bus To Constituency
As part of his efforts to help alleviate the plight of the youth in his constituency, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Organizer for Adenta Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Eric Nii Lomoh has donated 20 motor bikes and 16 seater commercial bus to the constituency office.
The aim was to help create jobs for the teaming youth in the area who could not bear the hardship created by the Akuffo Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for the last six years
During presentation of the items to the constituency, Mr. Eric Nii Lomoh indicated that this forms part of his campaign promises made to the youth when he was contesting for the position.
“As you may recalled, I made a promise that I would buy these things to the youth when they vote for me, today am fulfilling the promise I made to you”, he stated.
Explaining the how it will be distributed, the youth leader added that the committee had already set up creteria for the selection of beneficiaries and they are expected to work and pay so other can benefit in future.
He reveals that profit made shall be used in running the activities of the party in the constituency.
As such, a foundation as been registered known as ” Adenta Progressive Youth Foundation” that has oversight responsibility of monitoring and distributing of the items to the party members.
He said 16 seater commercial bus would also work for the party which the profit generated would be used to purchase more buses.
The National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo (Pablo), his deputy Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer, Amose Blessing Amos and Deputy National Youth Organizer, Edem Agbena commended him for his commitment to the youth wing of the party.
They urged other executives of the party to emulate same to make the party attractive to the floating voters.
Mr. Peter Boamah Otukuno, Deputy General Secretary of NDC also thanked Mr. Nii Lomoh for his bold step in helping build a strong party at the constituency level.
The Deputy General Secretary charged every member of the executive to ensure he / she brings in new person into the party on yearly basis, and that will guarantee win for the party in every elections.
He called for unity among the ranks and file of the party, devoid of insults and tagging aheard of the party internal elections.
