Incompetent Agric Minister Much Be Sacked – CEO Of K. Asante Farms

The Chief Executive Officer of K. Asante Farms in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal of Ashanti region, Mr. Kwadwo Asante has called for immediate dismissal of the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Owusu Afriyie Akoto.
The business magnate stated the said minister must be expelled to pave way for experience ones to take over.
Mr. Kwadwo Asante underscored the minister is only fighting for his presidential goal and not for the progress of the poor farmers.
“I can tell you, the past Agric ministers were far better than this current one and were listening persons, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto is not working for the interest of the nation but his political ambition, even the 1D1F which was implemented under his watch, has not benefited the country nor the farmers,” he reiterated.
“Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo must sit up. How come we import broilers whilst poultry farmers in the country can produce more than that? We, the association members, have had several meetings concerning our grievances and met the President, H. E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo at the Flagstaff house but to no avail. I think the minister is torpedoing the government and needs to be fired.”
In addition, he appealed to the government to cut down the price of forages and inputs for the poultry growers as done to Cocoa farmers annually.
“Are we all not farmers? Why should the government subsidies the inputs for cocoa farmers but overlook we the poultry farmers? This is total partiality and we are calling on the authorities to consider our plea and take proactive measures since our businesses are shattering,” he announced.
Furtherance of the story, he hailed for impetus for the poultry farmers in the country, believing a little stimulus can help heighten the spirit of the farmers.
“We don’t get any sort of motivation. No one cares for us, unlike the anglers and others who periodically get premix fuels and other impulses. I am soliciting to the government to ensure we poultry farmers are fairly motivated and served,” he concluded.
