Willie Apetorgbor’s Burial Slated For August 28

William Kofi Apetorgbor left a hole in many hearts when he went home to be with the Lord on the dawn of Monday, March 22, 2021.

His burial has been slated to happen in Koforidua, Eastern Region on Saturday August 28, 2021 the family has announced.
According to funeral arrangement made available by the family, William Apetorgbor, who died at 80 years, would on Friday be laid in state at his residence -Korley Abansoro, near the late Chief Abordo’s residence.

A funeral mass will take place on Saturday at St Peter Claver Catholic Church at Agavenya and will be interred according to Christian rites at the family cemetery, Anloga-Whuti in the Volta Region, whiles the funeral rites continues at his residence, Korley Abansoro. Thanksgiving service will be held on Sunday at the St Peter Claver Catholic Church and final funeral rites will continue at his residence.

The Apetorgbor family said they would adhere strictly to the social and physical distancing directive by the government during the burial.

Late William Apetorgbor left behind lovely 9 children, 19 grandchildren, 3 grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. ‎ His family will cherish his memory, as he always cherished them. He was the epitome of what a real gentleman should be.

He was a member of the St Peter Claver Catholic Church. He worked for the Ghana National Construction Corporation (GNCC) which was renamed the State Construction Corporation (SCC) which was divested (privatized) by the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC) Government, led by Late Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings with the hope that this move will help revamp its fortune. Sadly, the State Construction Company could not wake-up from its slumber and folded up by the late 1990.

The Kamina Barracks and Tamale Airport were some notable projects he helped in executing in Tamale, Northern Region. He was a kind, noble, and loyal man who was often described as the most energetic and jovial in a room.
