Mid-Year Budget Review to Bring More Good News – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has expressed optimism that the mid-year budget review, slated for presentation in August, will bring even more positive tidings for Ghanaians.

Addressing a durbar in Wa as part of his thank-you tour, President Mahama highlighted the government’s concerted efforts to stabilize the economy, asserting that the initiatives have begun to yield tangible results.

“We have been working assiduously to stabilize the economy, and I am happy to report that our efforts have started to bear fruit,” Mahama stated, citing the improved performance of the local currency and a gradual decrease in the prices of goods and services as notable indicators of success.

Mahama lauded the Minister of Finance, Dr Ato Forson and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Mr Johnson Asiama for their exemplary leadership and close collaboration in driving the economic turnaround.

“I wish to commend the Honorable Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, along with their teams, for the close collaboration and coordination they are displaying in this economic turnaround,” Mahama added.

Expressing confidence in the government’s economic strategy, Mahama concluded,

“I am sure that by the time the Honorable Minister comes back to Parliament to present his mid-year review budget in August, we will have even more good news for Ghanaians.” This assertion has instilled renewed hope and confidence in Ghana’s economic prospects, as the nation eagerly awaits the mid-year budget review.
