Beware of Bawumia’s Promises, He Can’t Be Trusted – Elvis Afriyie Ankrah Warns Ghanaians
Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Manifesto Committee, has cautioned Ghanaians to approach the promises of New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, with skepticism.
Mr. Ankrah, a former Sports Minister, expressed doubts about the feasibility of Bawumia’s key economic proposals, including a flat tax rate and the removal of the e-levy.
In an interview on Channel One TV’s Face to Face, Ankrah criticized Bawumia for his pattern of unfulfilled promises.
“You believe Bawumia at your own risk,” Ankrah warned. “I want Ghanaians to know and recognize that it will be very dangerous for them to believe Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Because this is somebody who has consistently made promises and has not been able to fulfill them.”
Mr. Ankrah urged voters to dismiss Bawumia, asserting that he would fail to fulfill his commitments. He noted that Bawumia, together with President Nana Addo, had made numerous promises in the past that remained unfulfilled.
