PTA Donates Beds To GOLDEN TESHS

The Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) of Terchire Senior High School in the Tano North Municipal in the Ahafo Region has donated dual beds to the school.

The gesture was part of interventions by PTA to support the school to contribute to educational growth in the community.

The PTA chairman Elder Jackson Tefick Mensah during the donation maintained that the school lacks basic materials, and it was right for groups like PTA to help complement the government’s efforts.

He added that providing support for the less endowed school like GOLDEN TESHS will go a long way to address issues bedeviling the school.

Elder Terick called on the government, old students, philanthropists and other benevolent organizations to help support the school in this direction.

He also urged the community to take education seriously because it helps introduce empowerment.

“Education is the key to turn a weakness into a strength. It offers different tools and ways to understand problems that lay ahead of us and helps resolve them. More importantly, education provides us with considerable mental agility to make the right decisions and spring into action when needed”, the affable chairman added.

According to the astute man of God who doubled as PTA chairman, education develops problem-solving skills.
One of the benefits of education is that the educational system teaches us how to obtain and develop critical and logical thinking and make independent decisions. When children become adults, they are faced with a lot of challenging issues – pay off your student loans, get a job, buy a car and a house, provide for your family, etc. However, if one has spent years educating themselves, they should be able to make sound decisions on these various quandaries.

Elder Mensah pointed out that not only are people able to form their own opinions, but they are also good at finding solid and reliable arguments and evidence to back up and confirm their decisions.

The Senior House Master of the school Mr. Amponsah Alexander a.k.a. chief who received the gesture on behalf of the school commended the PTA for the gesture and pledge to put out the beds to good use.
