Choose Chairman With Party At Heart- Alariba Bruce
A stanch National Democratic Congress (NDC) member at Zabilla in the Upper East Region Mr. Alariba Bruce has urged the delegates in the upcoming national delegates conference of NDC slated for December 17, to choose a Chairman who is having the party at heart.
He said, the wrongful choice of chairman will redirect the direction of the party to wrong destination in the 2024 general elections.
According to him the delegates should be circumspect in their decisions and carefully select a chairman who is courageous enough to lead the party through the 2024 elections.
Speaking to ghanaiandemocrat.com the affable young politician revealed that the delegates shouldn’t root for any coward who will run away from the 2024 general elections when the contest gets tough.
He pointed out that the delegates should weigh all the aspirants vying for the chairmanship positions by listening to their speeches, conducting intelligence works around them to establish whether they are courageous and ready to give all what they have towards the party victory in the 2024 before giving them their votes.
“If our delegates vote for a wrong person, the party will suffer in the 2024 general elections because there will be a lot of obstacles on the way”, he added .
According to Mr. Alariba Bruce, a close source within the party revealed that some national executive(s) of the party were part of the party’s defeat in the 2020 general elections.
He is with the view that the delegates shouldn’t vote based of sympathy but rather look up for competence and the one with party at heart.
“The destiny of the party lies in the hands of you the delegates, the choices you will make on the December 17 in this month will determine the direction of the party. Whether the party will progress or retrogress”, he sounded.
The affable young politician retreated that the delegates should burry all their differences and come together to vote for the one who is having the party at heart, who is courageous enough and ready to die for the party in the 2024 general elections because NPP will never give out power easily.
Mr. Alariba added that the delegates should avoid the one who can easily be in bed with NPP and quickly reminded them that a defeat for NDC in the 2024 general elections will spell doom for the party in going forward.
He further charged the party delegates to critically scrutinize the chairmanship aspirants to know the one who is having the party at heart and to massively vote for that person.
According to Mr. Alariba the delegates should also factor the former president John Dramani Mahama in their research to know which of the Chairmanship aspirations will tone his line .
“It is only the former president Mahama who can secure the party the victory we are yearning for in the 2024 general elections any chairman who is against his bid should also be ignored or else it would be difficult for the party to win the upcoming general elections”, he concluded.
