Thealhajj.com can confirm that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya, Sara Adwoa Safo has been relieved of her position as Gender Minister.

A statement signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency and copied to GhanaNewsPage.Com is that Adwoa Safo’s appointment as Minister for Gender and Social Protection has been revoked with immediate effect.

She has been absent from her post for more than a year with Water and Resources Minister, Cecilia Dapaah acting in her stead.

Cecilia Abena Dapaah will continue to act as caretaker minister for the Gender Ministry until a substantive Minister is named by the President.
