Africans Must Stay Home To Build Their Countries – King Oyanka

– Borderless Continent is key solution to stop future wars

King Oyanka,  Chairman of World Human Rights Council for West Africa, who doubles as the President of Anamase Royal Alliance Council has called on the youth of Africa to stay home and help in developing their countries.

He urged those seeking greener pastures abroad to return home with their skills, added that “those who are thinking of going should rethink about their decision”.

The young king noted that African continent has suffered a brain – drain for a very time and the time has come leadership to implement policies and programs that will be beneficial to the African youth.

Nii Oyanka was speaking to thealhajj.com in Accra on Sunday indicated that finding work and escaping economic hardship are the most frequently cited reasons for migrating abroad by African youth.

For him, African leaders are not leaving up expectation to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, SDG8 (“decent work and economic growth”) that seeks to provide jobs and skills for the youth.

King Oyanka stated why Africa has a long history of mobility before colonization adding that “nomads crossed what are now international borders, trade caravans through the Sahara, and many Africans migrated during the dry season before returning with the rains”.

“We cant wait for war to break up for us to start running back home to Africa. King Oyanka warned. We are going to be seeing wars  and epidemics from time to time until the end of the world, It not going to end with Ukraine or Russia, what is happening now is a wake up call for African leaders to build Africa to enable good living conditions for its citizen”, he stated.
