2024 Rigging Tactics: NPP Rehears With Another Violence At Polling Station Elections

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has started its internal elections with a renewed violent means ahead of elections 2024.
The reports of violence at various polling stations executive elections of the party across the country over the weekend was part of their expected rehearsals towards the 2024 general elections.
“This is our strategy and we are piloting it to see how it works within our internal elections”, an NPP faithful told thealhajj.com on condition of anonymity.
“…..the confusions you see during the polling station executive election was careful planned by the party as we intend using same come December 2024 general elections”, he added.
He further indicated that, “….our boys in the Ghana Army and the police will come in to assist when it becomes very difficult for us to sail through during the general elections”.
The violence which characterised the voter registration across the country, and the Ayawaso West Wuogon By-election that preceded 2020 elections violence where the police and the military were used to brutalise and killed more than 8 people across the country who went out to vote, is still fresh in the minds of Ghanaians.
This is the first time the country has witnessed the killing of civilians during elections under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo/Dr. Bawumia administration.
Several calls by Civil Society Organisations, CSOs and other groups and individuals on the government to bring the perpetrators to book prove futile since it would expose the involvement of the state in the gruesome murder of innocent citizens.
The NPP kingpin whose name withheld, revealed further that their government has failed the Ghanaian voters and the only way to win the next elections is through violence and rigging with the help of their boys in the security agencies.
However, he was not confident that violence would sustain them power, but he was quick to add further that their boys in the police and military would be surely deployed to the NDC strong holds for operations come what may in 2024.
