Tijaniya Ghana celebrates Morocco’s King Hassan II

The office of the supreme leader of Tijaniiya Ghana who doubles as the President of Tijaniya Muslim Council of Ghana (TMCG), Sheikh Abdul-Faidi Abbdulai Ahmed Maikano organised Qur’an recitation in honour of his Royal Majesty King Hassan Il.

This was to honor the immense contribution by His majesty’s towards the propagation of Islam and Tariqa Tijaniya across the globe.

Thanking the Morrocan Diplomat, the head of administration at the office of Tijaniya Muslim Council, Sheikh Mutawakuli Iddriss noted that event was part of activities to recognize and strengthen the relationship between the two bodies.

While there is the need to exchange expertise in the area of Islamic and secular education, Sheihk Iddriss reminded of the Moroccan Diplomat of the readiness of the Ghanaian Muslim youth to further their education.

He therefore appealed to the Morrocan delegation to make scholarships available to the youth so as to unearth the potentials.

The chairman of the occasion sheikh Ahmed Tijani bin Umar showered praises on the Morrocan king for his good works most especially by creating an enabling environment for (ziyara) visitation to the shrine of sheikh Tijani Ashareef in Fes among other interesting places.

He urged Muslims especially theTijaniya sect to show appreciation and profound gratitude to King Hassan ll for his his contribution to their course.

The entire Noble Qur’an was recited in his honour to ask Allah for continue blessings for the late king .

In addition to this, a prayer was said seeking for good health, long life, guidance and protection for his Royal Majesty King Muhammed IV.

The Morrocan deputy ambassador to Ghana, his excellency Abderrahim Cherrab expresses his gratitude to the organisers and participants of the programme.

He expressed the hope that the organizers of the program continues with annually to promote the ideology of the sect.

The head of the consular section of the Morrocan embassy in Accra, Mr. Jamal Eddine Ouargani was present to grace the occasion.

The ninth edition took place at the Abil Abass mosque at Madina in Accra under the theme “ensuring good religious and educational development: our priority’.
