Akufo-Addo Has Nothing to Offer The Youth – UK Based Ghanaian

A United Kingdom, UK based Ghanaian youth advocate and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CODE57, Mr. David Nii Adjaye has urged Ghanaian youth to embark on serious revolution to achieve their economic aims.

He also noted that the rising insecurity in the country must be blamed on the sitting President Akufo-Addo.

To him, the current situation in Ghana spells doom on the future generations, and if today’s youth do not rise up and face the challenge, those selfish politicians would continue to destroy the good foundation laid by the forth fathers.

He indicated that his visit to the scene and the bereaved family of the Ejura military brutality left him with questions whether the security agencies were trained to protect the country or killed its own people.

He said, freedom is hard to gain, but the time has come for the youth of this country to use every means possible to free themselves from these selfish politicians.

Nii Adjaye who was speaking in an interview with The Alhajj during the launch of the Greater Accra Regional Bloc of Tourism Aid Ghana in Accra last Saturday, July 10, 2021.

The Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery, has announced a three-member Ministerial Committee to investigate the killing of three persons at Ejura Sekyere Dumase Municipality in the Ashante Region.

The members of the committee are; Justice George Kingsley Koomson (Justice of the Court of Appeal), Dr. Vladimir Antwi Danso, a security expert and Juliet Antwi Amoah, Executive Director, Penplusbyte.

Meanwhile, the CEO of CODE57 has cast doubt on the out come of the committee’s work due to past examples.

According to him, several committees were setup by President Akufo-Addo in a similar manner, after their work government refused to implement their recommendations.

Yo this, he therefore called on the youth not to rely so much on the government since it has nothing good to offer them.

“What is happening in this country right now is that people cannot talk, you talk they get you killed. Government has no plans to help the youth”, he stressed.
