Some unscrupulous Christians Seeking to Shake The Foundation of Ghana – COMOG

Coalition of Muslim Organizations (COMOG) has accused certain unscrupulous individuals within the christiandom seeking to divide the Muslims and Christians in the country.

According to the president of COMOG, Abdul Manan Rahman such individuals hidden behind big churches and Christian organizations to launch their hate towards Muslims must be condemned by all.

“Both Christians and muslims have been in a peaceful coexistence since time in memorial”.

“We believe that what the headmistress did was part of an agenda by some Christians suppress Muslims in the country targeting Muslim students “, he stated.

Alhaji Manan made the statement when he was addressing the media over the week in Accra to respond to the statement issued by the Christian Council and Conference Bishops in support of abuse of Muslim students across the country.

The COMOG leader indicated out that “If Muslims should hit the street , not less the the half of the entire Ghanaian population will participate “.

Abdul Manan urged the Methodist church and the Christian council to threat cautiously since Ghana has not experienced any kind of religious intolerance.

He also urged them to respect individual’s right to practice any religion he or she wishes to.

He reminded them of the right to practice or join any association as enshrined in the 1992 constitution of the Republic adding that “the abuse of Muslim students in mission schools is becoming too much”.

COMOG therefore called on the government to act swiftly to reassign the headmistress of the school since her attitude towards Muslims toward could affect the academic work.
