NPP’s Killer Budget Must Transform The Lives Of The Poor – Salifu Amoako

The Founder and General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, has described this year’s budget as a killer budget.
He said budget that must help to transform the lives of ordinary citizens who can’t afford to eat three square meal a day turned out to be a suicide one.
Bishop Salifu urge government to rather indulge in politics that create opportunities for the poor and not one that would send them to their early graves.
According to him, countries including West Africa leaders praising Ghana not because of its economic gains but peaceful coexistence.
Speaking in an interview with journalists in Accra, he caution government over imposing more taxes on poor Ghanaians aim at bringing economic hardships and creating avenues amasing wealth by people in leadership positions.
The bishop also prayed for the economy, security and prosperity of the nation.
He called for national prayer on the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
Adding that “just as how God listened to the prayers and spared the country from the claws of the pandemic, all men of God must join in the national prayers for the President and the nation and it shall surely be well with the country”.
He explained that since peace was a critical prerequisite for any accelerated development, Ghanaians, especially people from different political devides should always place the peace and unity of the country first.
