La Dade kotopon Muslim community Celebrates Eid In Modesty – Calls for Discipline Among Youth

The Greater Accra Regional GaDangmeTijaniya Jallo Chief,imam Alhaji Ibrahim Tijani Mensah, has attributed the current challenges confronting the country to the growing immorality and lack of discipline among the citizenry.
He maintained that the country can only develop on the wings of discipline and good morals among the citizenry.
Alhaji Ibrahim Tijani Mensah said this in a interview with Ghanaian Democrat at La after the Eid-Ul-Fitre prayers when the La Dadekotopon Muslim Community converged at the forecourt of the La Traditional Council.
The Tijaniya Muslim leader advised youth to not to return to their bad practices after fasting for 30 days asking Allah for forgiveness and guidance.
Alhaji Leetei also called on the political leadership of the country to ensure peaceful coexistence among themselves irrespective of their political colours to put the interest of the nation first.
He said political leaders and the country must rally support behind President Nana Akufo Addo to deliver on his mandate and bring policies that will uplift the living condition of the people.
He therefore challenged religious leaders to stand up and restore discipline in the country. The La Maŋtsɛ, Nii KpobiTetteyTsuru, encouraged all Muslims in the La Community to come together as one people and shun division among them.
The La Municipal Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Amaning Oduro, condemned the increase in immoral activities among the youth in the La Community.
He therefore advised parents to closely monitor their children to prevent them from engaging in negative practices which can ruin their future aspirations. That was the La Municipal Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Amaning Oduro.
Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer- Buckle, Metropolitan Archbishop of Catholic Archdiocese of Accra revealed that Muslims and Christian worship one creator and have been living peacefully in the country over the years.
To him, both religion have something in common by way of their teachings, be it in arm given, zakat and fasting to please the Almighty God.
